From The Library
Our November student book club meeting will take place on Monday the 23th at 3:00. There’s no required reading and no previous book club experience is required! This month, we are reading books outside of our “normal” genre comfort zone to discuss. This is an informal space to connect and to share what we’re reading. Students can learn more on the library’s Blackboard course or by joining Google class code 2apa3rv. Email the library if you have questions.
Herndon HS students have access to thousands of books in physical format and in ebook format. If students would like to check out physical books, they can log into their Destiny accounts with their FCPS credentials, and place up to five books on hold. They will receive a confirmation email from the library team when the books are available. We offer contact-free curbside services on Monday afternoons between 12:00 and 3:00. Pickup outside those hours can be arranged as needed. We’ll even meet you at other Herndon-area schools to deliver if getting to Herndon HS during school hours is not possible! If you have library books from last year from any FCPS school, they can be returned at the same time.
Did you know your student can meet virtually with a member of the library team every school day? Our virtual office hours on BBCU allow students to connect with us from 8:00 – 11:00 on Mondays, and before school, during Stingers and lunch, and after school on other school days.
