Are we there yet? What is your plan?
What is Your Plan?
- Communicate with your counselor if you are unsure.
College Process Continues
- Use Naviance Student for adding the colleges you are “interested in” applying to.
- Regular Decision dates vary, but there is still time to apply.
- If haven’t done so already, provide completed the Transcript Request and Consent to Release form to your counselor.
- Attend College Accepted Student events for your top choice colleges (usually held in April)
- May 1st is “National Decision” day. Once you decide upon the college you will attend, be sure to advise the other colleges that you will not attend.
- Refer to your school counselor’s Google Classroom.
NOVA
- January TBD – NOVA information sessions with Mr. Thomas Chalk, NOVA High School Outreach Coordinator.
- NOVA offers associates degrees and certification programs as well as the option to transfer to a 4-year college.
- If you applied to the NOVA Pathway program, be sure to check your personal email mid-January for a decision from Ms. Gomez.
- Be sure to complete the Transcript Request and Consent to Release form to indicate NOVA. This is required for HHS to send your final high school transcript. Questions? Contact your counselor or Mrs. Frostad.
Stay the course
- Don’t be a victim of senioritis; grades matter throughout your senior year.
- Colleges can rescind acceptance offer if grades plummet.
7th Semester Report
- 7th semester grades with recalculated GPA will automatically be sent to the colleges you applied to – ~2nd week of February.
