Areas of Responsibilities

Class of 2021 Administrator

Michelle Campiglia is thrilled to be part of the Herndon family.  She comes to us from the FCPS Instructional Services Department, where she served as the High School ESOL Specialist for three years.  Prior to working in that capacity, she taught ESOL to secondary students in traditional and alternative settings, as well as to adult English learners seeking their high school diploma.  She earned her B.A. in Foreign Affairs and French from the University of Virginia, her M.Ed. from The George Washington University, and her Ed.S. in Administration and Supervision from the University of Virginia.

As part of a military family, Ms. Campiglia had the opportunity to live in a number of places around the world.  She came to the northern Virginia area as a sophomore and graduated from Lake Braddock Secondary School.  In her free time, she enjoys traveling, exercising, and spending time with her family.

Ms. Campiglia believes in capitalizing on the strengths of every student.  She enjoys collaborating with students, families, and the Herndon community to support the school’s vision of empowering students to become lifelong learners and productive global citizens.
