Partners for Safe Teen Driving Meeting
- When: Please arrive at 6 pm sharp!
- Where: Herndon High School Auditorium
Students must attend with a parent/legal guardian. As a part of classroom driver education instruction, students and their parent/guardian are required to attend a 90 minute traffic safety program. This requirement must be met before a student will receive a Driver Education Certificate of Completion (District 8 PINK card).
Program Includes:
- Parent role in teen driving
- The teenage brain
- Teen driving risks
- Graduated licensing
- Driver's education
- Interacting with law enforcement
- Parent/Teen driving contract
Parent Information
- The program will be provided to students currently enrolled in FCPS grade 10 Health & PE, either at the base school or through online campus, and their parent/guardian at no charge. (There is no registration required for 10th grade students).
- Students will receive a District 8 (pink card) after successful completion of classroom driver education and PSTD attendance. A certificate of completion will not be provided on the evening of the program.
- A $30 fee will be assessed to all other students and parents/guardians who are not currently enrolled in FCPS grade 10 Health & PE. This includes students in grade 11, homeschooled students, and private schooled students.
