The Herndon Writing Center

The Herndon Writing Center's Online Writing Lab is officially open! Please visit our Online Writing Lab (FCPS Log In Required).

We are currently offering asynchronous (written and recorded) feedback to students. Students can submit a document to be reviewed by tutors. Tutors will leave them detailed comments, record a video summarizing their feedback, and email them feedback within 48 hours of a student submitting their work Tuesdays-Fridays.

Our hope is to offer synchronous video conferencing down the road...stay tuned.

What is the Herndon Writing Center?

The Herndon Writing Center is a student-run, teacher-directed peer tutoring service where Herndon High School students can work on their writing with a friendly, professional, trained peer tutor. Whether you're trying to draft a strong thesis statement, working on revising a nearly-finished essay, or you're getting ready to submit your college essay, we're here for you!
