Safety & Security Responsibilities
Student Parking
Parking on school grounds is a PRIVILEGE. Students who violate school parking policies may be warned, fined, towed or face loss of their parking privileges. Please review our parking regulations to ensure compliance.
Lost and Found
The lost and found is located within the security office. Please bring all lost and/or abandoned property to this office which is located in Room ....
Stolen Property
Students are encouraged to keep all valuable items such as iphones, ipads, and ipods at home. In the event, you are a victim of a theft, please visit the security office to complete a Stolen Property Report. File a police report.
Bullying and Cyber Bullying
Bullying and Cyber-bullying are issues that are of great concern to Herndon High School and FCPS as a whole. Bullying is defined in the Students Rights and Responsibilities Handbook as the physical or psychological harassment on the part of one or more students toward another. Cyber-bullying is defined as the use of technology (e.g. e-mail, texting, social media sites) to degrade or humiliate another person or group. HHS has a low tolerance for bullying and will seek to comply with the standards set forth by the county in the SR&R. Accident Insurance
Student Accident Insurance Information
FCPS does not provide accident insurance for students. Parents and guardians may purchase reasonably priced student accident insurance through K and K Insurance Group. Student accident insurance brochures are no longer available for distribution to schools. Student accident insurance information, brochures and claim forms are available on the Risk Management website, and the K and K Insurance website. Links are provided to the web pages below.
