Class of 2020 Administrator

Maria Sneed is a product of Fairfax County Public Schools and attended Lemon Road ES, Kilmer MS, and Marshall HS.  Upon receiving her Bachelor’s degree from Longwood University, she accepted a position teaching Spanish in Northern Virginia.  While teaching at Annandale HS and Thoreau MS, she earned her Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from George Mason University before coming to Herndon High School and has never looked back. 

Mrs. Sneed enjoys being part of the Hornet family!  She enjoyed teaching Spanish and being the World Language Department chair for many years.  As an assistant principal she is looking forward to making a greater impact with students, staff, and the community. 

In her spare time, Mrs. Sneed likes spending time with family, reading, and traveling.
