Herndon High School has won 7th place in Learning Ally’s Great Reading Games for 2023!

Congrats to our All-Virginia instrumentalists! These students are the best in the entire state – they spent all day Saturday at JMU auditioning against the top high school players from each district and region. We are so proud of them.

Congratulations to Band Director Kathleen Jacoby who was recognized as the FCPS 2022 Outstanding Secondary Teacher at this year's FCPS Honors event, held at George Mason University Center for the Arts on June 8th.

All band students in our Herndon Pyramid grades 5-12 participated in a concert with the Dallas Brass Band.

The HHS Robotics Team finished first at last week’s district-level Robotics Competition.

The Herndon Orchestra program was awarded a $5000 Wolf Trap Grant and we will be bringing in bassist Xavier Foley for an artist residency!

Congratulations to our swimmers on a great State Meet on Friday. We competed against 38 other schools took 4th place overall with only 7 swimmers.

Congratulations to our senior political science interns, who will begin reporting to their political offices this week. Herndon is one of the only high schools in FCPS that places a large group of interns on Capitol Hill each spring.

National School Counseling Week 2022, “School Counseling: Better Together,” sponsored by the American School Counselor Association (ASCA), is celebrated from Feb. 7–11, 2022.
